King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Honors Ayedh Al-Qahtani

The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals has recently honored Mr. Ayedh Ben Farhan Al-Qahtani President of Al-Oula Real Estate Development during a ceremony held at the University in consideration of the services he had provided to the Industrial Management Faculty in addition to being one of its graduating students.

The rector of the University Mr. Khaled Ben Salah Al-Sultan has given an honorary medallion to Mr. Al-Qahtani who described the honoring as a confirmation of the efforts deployed by the Faculty for his own benefit during his college years and that have been reflected in his capacities in creating a big commercial name in the region’s real estate industry. He also noted that the honoring encourages him to do more work and research in achieving and applying the studies and practices that he had practiced in the business sector.

The President of Al-Oula Development added that he is attempting to propose the idea of teaching real estate materials through one of the faculties, after that the real estate sector has turned into an industry that requires studies, researches and applications in order to graduate a new generation capable of dealing with a huge market proving that the real estate has become an industry playing a major role in supporting the different sides of the economy.

He also revealed that there are ongoing negotiations with a number of academic specialists regarding this new idea. He added that the city of Dubai was capable of turning itself into an international real estate center after conducting studies in the real estate industry and its development method and it attracted the huge investments to the city through the real estate sector that competes with the financial sector in attracting capitals from different sources, while mentioning that the real estate market has a more favorable success opportunity than the financial markets since its is less risky and it pumps huge revenues on the long term.

He affirmed that he has established in Al-Oula Development a special division for the real estate studies in their different domains in order to conduct research and develop the market through work mechanisms applied by Al-Oula internally and in case they proved to be successful, Al-Oula will suggest them to the other neighboring companies wishing to adapt these mechanisms.
